Tobacco-Free Outdoors
Working with our communities to make parks, playgrounds, beaches and other recreation areas tobacco-free to keep fresh air fresh, protect our children from the negative example of smoking and to reduce environmental pollution.
Tobacco-Free Parks and Recreation
- Reduce exposure to secondhand smoke.
- Insure a healthy environment for sports, recreation and other outdoor activities.
- Reduce cigarette litter. Cigarettes are the most littered item in the country. Cigarette butts are not biodegradable and contain toxins that are harmful to all living things.
